Davis Koetter

Davis Koetter joined the Gamecocks’ staff in January 2025 as an assistant quarterbacks coach.

Koetter spent the past two seasons on Steve Sarkisian’s staff at Texas. In 2023, he was a graduate assistant working with the quarterbacks. In 2024 he was elevated to an analyst role and worked predominantly with the tight ends.

A former high school quarterback at Berkeley Prep in Tampa, Koetter played wide receiver in college. He spent three years at Portland State and two at Boise State, where he was a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.

Koetter graduated from Portland State in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He later earned a master’s degree in athletic leadership from Boise State in 2022 

Koetter is the son of former, Boise State, Arizona State and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter. Davis’s wife’s name is Callan.
